[Mexico] Strategic developments: Arrests

On 3 April 2025, in Suchiapa, Chiapas, 26 people were arrested during an operation by the ministerial police, the National Guard and military officers. 21 were municipal police officers, one was a ministerial police officer and four civilians. The accused were arrested for their criminal association. This event is part of an action made by the authorities after the increase of criminal members in the state, driven by the dispute between the Sinaloa Cartel and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) seeking for the control of the territory.
