On 8 April 2025, tens of Roma women marched from the Central Post Office to the Parliament in Chisinau - Buiucani, in a protest for equal rights and inclusion, demanding the elimination of gender-based violence in Roma communities, access to education and public services, and political representation. The event also aimed to celebrate Roma culture and traditions and was organized by the Platform of Roma Women 'Romni' in partnership with UN Women Moldova.
