On 20 March 2025, about ten lawmakers of the main opposition Democratic Party of Korea (DPK) held a press conference and picketed in front of the Constitutional Court of Korea (Seoul City - Jongno), calling for the removal of impeached President Yoon Suk-yeol from office. An opposition lawmaker was hit by a raw egg thrown by an unidentified person from across the street. Another lawmaker claimed a pro-President Yoon supporter kicked her in the thigh during the picketing. Some demonstrators identified as pro-Yoon supporters threw boiled eggs and bananas at the DPK lawmakers. Police dispersed about 50 anti-impeachment supporters. Lawmakers from the ruling People Power Party (PPP) rallied next to the DPK lawmakers, opposing the president's impeachment.
