Defusal: On 10 April 2025, Manipur police and their bomb disposal squad safely retrieved a 36 hand grenade with its safety pin removed that was lobbed by unidentified assailants (likely Meitei based on geography) at the residence of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS)'s director which did not explode at Bramapur Ruru Aribam Leikai in Imphal city (Imphal West, Manipur) amidst ongoing violence between Meitei and Tribal communities in the state. The grenade was found in the morning and is suspected to have been lobbed the night before. It was safely detonated at the Nongmaiching foothills on the same day.
