On 12 April 2025, Para forces, Assam Rifles, RR, CRPF and SoG exchanged fire with an LeT module at Chhatroo tehsil (coded as Chatroo city, Kishtwar district, J&K). Two militants were killed in the encounter. This was the third day of the encounter. Two other sources had earlier stated that they were affiliated with JeM, while yet another source claimed they belonged to HM. A large quantity of arms and ammunition, including one AK and one M4 rifle were recovered. This was the fourth day of the operation.
