On 11 April 2025, in Kenscoff - Godet, Ouest, overnight, the Viv Ansanm Gang ambushed police forces in the Godet neighborhood, killing one police officer and injuring five others. Another one who went missing was reported as killed. At least two police vehicles were set on fire. The criminals targeted the officials at several houses where they had retired with women to spend the night. The women were described as accomplices of the gang members. The officers denied to have abandoned their posts and to be present at the said houses. The criminals managed to seize police firearms and materials. 2 fatalities, 5 injured.
