On 31 March 2025, residents of the hamlets of Bankoun and Pete-Dane clashed in the village of Tyanguel-Bori (Tyanguel-Bori, Lelouma) over a land dispute and after organizing a soccer tournament on a field that had been forbidden to use by the courts. 3 Bankoun youths then attacked a Pete-Dane man, including one with a knife who was disarmed by a law enforcement officer. Other youths then attacked the Pete-Dane man's house and other businesses with stones and sticks, destroying doors and windows, damaging roofs, tearing off ceilings and solar panels, and setting fire to at least one kitchen. The police, the gendarmerie and the military intervened (means unspecified) during the clashes. At least 8 people were injured, including 1 woman. It was unclear if clashes happened a second day. 11 people were arrested.
