[France] Protests: Peaceful protest

On 4 April 2025, at the call of CGT, between 20 and 30 workers of the Ministry of Justice's Youth Judicial Protection Service Directorate (PJJ) staged a protest in front of the judicial court in Nimes (Occitanie) to denounce the freezing of three key positions and to express concern for the increased recidivism risks for 75 minors left without court-mandated educational support. The protesters argued that the remaining educators were already managing high caseloads and warned that delays in implementing judicial measures could lead to higher rates of reoffending among minors.
