On 17 April 2025, hospitality striking workers, called by CCOO, the Grassroots Unionists (Sindicalistas de Base), Inter-Union Confederation and UGT, held a protest outside Vincci Plantacion del Sur hotel, Baobab Hotel and Jardines del Teide hotel in Costa Adeje suburb in Adeje (Canarias) to demand a new collective labor agreement which includes better working conditions and salaries amid the current tourist model in the Canary Islands.
