On 10 April 2025, in Buenaventura (Valle del Cauca), hundreds of residents, along with representatives of trade associations, the APPBUN reporters' and journalists' association, and the Catholic Church, staged a March for Peace. They marched from the 14 de julio to the La Independencia neighborhoods, to demand an end to the violence between gangs affecting the district.
