Around 26 March 2025 (as reported), an investigation was published that highlighted a military base that is suspectedly used to store Russian nuclear weapons near Asipovichy (Osipovichskiy, Mogilev). On a photo that was taken at the military unit and published by the Belarusian military, a dosimeter interface can be seen. The town of Asipovichy and a nearby areas are not on the list of territories of the region contaminated with radionuclides as a result of the Chernobyl disaster, and there are no nuclear power facilities nearby, therefore an appearance of a dosimeter at the military base is highly unusual. The military unit is utilized by the Belarusian artillery and missile regiments, and the base itself is used to store various munitions. In 2024 several reports suspected that the base that at that moment was being extended near Asipovichy could serve as a potential nuclear weapons storing facility.
