On 10 April 2025, in Maceio (Alagoas), unidentified armed suspects shot and killed a man in the Cidade Universitaria neighbourhood. The suspects fired over 15 times against the victim, who was in a car and had a police record for the homicide of his own cousin. A woman was in the vehicle with the victim and she escaped unharmed. The suspects escaped. The authorship and motivations for the attack are unknown.
