ベネズエラ抗議デモ：平和的抗議活動

On 15 April 2025, in Barquisimeto (Lara), members of the Human Rights Committee for the Defense of Pensioners, Retirees, Older Adults, and Persons with Disabilities, along with the Human Rights Network of Lara State, held a Via Crucis as a form of protest to demand respect for fundamental rights and conditions for a dignified life. They compared the Via Crucis to the burden carried by older adults and people with disabilities, which they claim includes issues such as precarious pensions, deficient public services, and social abandonment. They also linked it to the broader situation in Venezuela, which they described as marked by a lack of food, healthcare, public services, and freedom of expression. This was the eight edition of this Via Crucis for human rights. It took place in the historical center of the city, they marched from the Altagracia Square to the San Francisco Church.
