[Venezuela] Battles: Armed clash

On 4 April 2025, in Guatire (Miranda), the Division of Strategic Investigations (DIE) of the CPNB clashed with an unidentified gang. Officers noticed three individuals who appeared suspicious and attempted to stop them for a check. The suspects tried to flee, and a shootout ensued. One member of the group was injured during the confrontation and later died at the hospital. The other two gang members escaped. Authorities seized a firearm. Relatives of the victim approached the hospital, claimed that the procedure in which their family member died was irregular, and confronted the officers. 1 fatality.
