On 14 April 2025, in Pavia (Lara), officers from CONAS of the GNB clashed with and killed a member of an unidentified gang in the Vigia sector of the Los Mochuelos area. Security forces had been pursuing him through various sectors of Pavia. When he noticed the officers, he attempted to flee but was cornered, prompting him to open fire. At the time of the encounter, he was accompanied by two other men who managed to escape. He had escaped from a CONAS holding cell on 3 March 2025 along with another gang member, who was killed in a clash on 7 March 2025 (coded separately). The deceased had a criminal record for homicide and theft. 1 fatality.
