On 8 April 2025, residents held a protest in Menbij in rural Aleppo supporting the Palestinian people and Dara residents recently killed by Israeli bombing, condemning Israeli attacks on Syrian territory and Israel's occupation of the Gaza strip. Menbij residents also observed a general strike.
