[South Sudan] Violence against civilians: Attack

On 5 April 2025, unidentified armed individuals suspected to be members of the Thiik sub-section of the Aliap section of the Rek Dinka community attacked individuals from the Tabar section (presumed to be Rek Dinka based on location) in Mideer Boma of Ngabagok village in Ananatak Payam (location coded to Ananatak, the nearest known location in Tonj East County, Warrap State), resulting in 6 fatalities and 8 injuries. The incident is linked to ongoing violence between the Akook and Thiik sub-sections of the Aliap section of the Rek Dinka.
