[South Sudan] Violence against civilians: Attack

On 5 April 2025, an unidentified armed individual suspected of being from the Loyoro community (coded as unidentified communal militia) killed a boy at a parish compound in Isohe Payam of Ikotos County (location coded to Isohe, the nearest known location in Ikotos County, Eastern Equatoria State). The attacker mistook the deceased as being a member of the Burung community. The incident created tension between the Loyoro and Burung communities.
