[Senegal] Protests: Peaceful protest

On 3 April 2025, several groups attempted to gather in the Soweto Square in Dakar (Plateau, Dakar) in a demonstration to prevent parliament from passing a law excluding criminal and correctional offenses from the scope of the amnesty law for the period between 1 February 2021 and 25 February 2024. The presence of police, who set up a large security cordon, and Pastef (ruling party) militants prevented the demonstrations from taking place.
