[Philippines] Protests: Peaceful protest

On 6 April 2025, an estimated 1,000 supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte (member of PDP-Laban) staged a rally led by the Green Rise Action Movement and the LGBT Davao City Coalition (LGBT DCC) at Rizal Park in Davao City (Davao del Sur, Davao Region) to show support for Duterte and launch the Green Rise Action Movement, which aims to hold weekly protests to urge the national government and the International Criminal Court (ICC) to allow Duterte's return to the Philippines after his arrest and transfer to The Hague, Netherlands. The rally was also attended by the city mayor (son of Duterte), the vice mayor, a former Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) chairman, the former secretary of Budget and Management of the Philippines, a SAGIP Partylist representative, and PDP-Laban senatorial candidates in the upcoming May 2025 elections.
