On 31 March 2025, lawyers in Port Moresby staged a 'Rule of Law' protest march at the Independence Boulevard (Port Moresby, National Capital District). Organized by the Papua New Guinea Law Society the protest march aimed to advocate on the importance of maintaining and upholding the rule of law, in light of recently amended legislation being passed in parliament. The lawyers gathered at the Independence Boulevard before marching to the Waigani National Supreme Court premises.
