Around 16 April 2025 (as reported), in Penonome, Cocle, the residents of the Paseo del Rio community staged a protest, holding banners and blocking access to a bridge with rocks, to denounce the deterioration of the roads in the area and to demand solutions from the authorities. They complained about the passage of heavy vehicles, seriously damaging the community's bridge, its roads and infrastructures.
