[Netherlands] Protests: Protest with intervention

On 10 April 2025, in the afternoon, 21 activists from the environmental organization Give Counterforce (Geef Tegengas) blocked the Havenspoorlijn near the Vaanpad in Barendrecht (Zuid-Holland), causing a train to stop and halting all traffic in and out of the port area. The activists, some of whom had chained themselves to the tracks and held red banners, protested against climate change, child labor, and war crimes. In the afternoon, the mayor called for police intervention, who physically removed the protesters chained to the tracks. The protest was allowed to continue at another location.
