[Nigeria] Protests: Peaceful protest

Around 9 April 2025 (as reported), residents under the aegis of the Concerned Land Owners Association protested in Igbesa (Ado-Odo, Ogun) against the forceful seizure of their land and the demolition of their properties by Chinese companies. They accused the companies of appropriating their land in collusion with security agencies and government officials. They lamented that the Chinese exploited the Guangdong Free Trade Zone arrangement to encroach on their land and ultimately took it from them. They called on the state governor to intervene and prevent systemic displacement and the sabotage of the citizens' economic resources.
