[Mozambique] Riots: Mob violence

On 22 March 2025, rioters beat to death a member of the Local Forces in Mesa (Mesa, Ancuabe, Cabo Delgado) after he fired his gun in an attempt to disperse a crowd following an attack on a youth by the local forces. It occurred during a provincial governor's visit to the Mesa post where local forces were patrolling and the forces captured a youth and injured him while shaving his head with a knife. The rioters also set offices and other infrastructure on fire.
