On 8 April 2025, several hundreds of residents gathered and demonstrated peacefully in front of the Algerian embassy in the city of Bamako (Bamako, Bamako). The demonstrators protested against the shooting down of a Malian army drone by the Algerian army in the area of Tin Zaouaten on 1 April 2025 (coded separately). They also expressed their pride and support for the Malian forces and the authorities of the Confederation of Sahel States (AES).
