[Libya] Battles: Armed clash

On 5 April 2025, the First Support Battalion led by Mohamed Kashlaf, from one side, and Al Sila Brigade and the Counter Crime Agency, from the other, clashed around the refinery and in some residential neighborhoods of Az Zawiyah (Az Zawiyah, West). The fighting broke out one day after the First Support Battalion regained control of the refinery from the West Coast Military Region of the Libyan Army, which had seized it on 4 January (both coded separately). 1 member of the Counter Crime Agency was killed and dozens of fighters and civilians were injured in the clashes, which caused extensive damage to homes and businesses.
