On 8 April 2025, Christian priests, foreigners, members of the Free Palestine Movement of Sri Lanka, and a member of the Social Justice Party participated in the protest organized by the North-South Solidarity Organization in front of the United States Embassy in Colombo city (Colombo, Western) supporting the people in Gaza, and against the U.S government's funding and support for Israel.
