[Kenya] Strategic developments: Looting/property destruction

Property destruction: On 7 April 2025, more than 200 unknown individuals (coded as an unidentified armed group) armed with machetes and other crude weapons and working under the watch of police officers demolished homes of more than 200 (other sources mention 3000) families in Gazi (also known as Gasi) (Msambweni, Kwale) over a land ownership dispute. Property of unknown value was looted during the incident.
