On 1 April 2025, in Kingston, Kingston, police forces shot and killed a gang member during a clash along the Cassia Park Road (Saint Andrew parish). The officers claimed that the now deceased was a motorist man who was signaled to stop the march. As he disobeyed and attempted to flee, a police persecution ensued, during which the motorist crashed and opened fire on the lawmen. The officers shot back in response, killing him. He was identified as the leader of the Elbow Faction Gang which operated in Central Village. 1 fatality.
