On 8 April 2025, unidentified assailants were suspected of lobbing a grenade and causing an explosion at the house of a BJP leader (former MLA) in Jalandhar city (Punjab). The attack is suspected to be connected to BKI, ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Pakistan) and local gangsters based on a preliminary investigation. There were no injuries however the BJP leader's motorcycle, car, and some glass windows were damaged. The police later arrested two accused.
