[India] Battles: Armed clash

On 6 April 2025, suspected KCP (PWG) cadres and security forces (likely Manipur police based on their presence in the region) engaged in a clash in the forest area near Heirok town (Thoubal, Manipur) following which security forces launched a search operation and burned down KCP (PWG)'s camp, amidst ongoing violence between Meitei and Tribal communities in the state. Security forces retrieved two firearms - one SLR and a 12 bore single barrel gun, 21 rounds of 7.62 mm calibre, 14 blank cartridges, three kartoos, one firing pin, riot control equipment including 20 tear smoke shells of various types, three stun shells, three bulletproof jackets with two plates, camouflage clothing, bags, field equipment and personal items from their hideout. No fatalities.
