On 10 April 2025, Vencorex employees, CGT affiliates, National Deputy Elisa Martin (LFI/NFP), and Mayor Christophe Ferrari (independent) gathered outside the Vencorex factory in Le Pont-de-Claix (Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes) to protest against the Commercial Court's decision to sell the factory to Chinese company Wanhua instead of handing it to a workers' cooperative. The protesters expressed fears of downsizing and their frustration over the lack of state support for the workers.
