[Ethiopia] Protests: Protest with intervention

On 8 April 2025, students of Jigjiga University's graduating class gathered in Jigjiga University (Jijiga, Jigjiga town, Fafan, Somali) for two days (8 and 10 April 2025), demanding an explanation for the cancellation of exit exam results. Somali State Police physically assaulted and dispersed the crowds. The result was cancelled after the students were informed that they had achieved a passing mark in the exam. Ministry of Education claimed that the result was cancelled due to cheating during the examination and notified the students to prepare for a re-examination. Extent of injuries unknown/not reported.
