Defusal: On 7 April 2025, in Machala (El Oro), police forces defused a dynamite stick left at a commercial establishment on Arizaga and 10 Este Streets. The explosive device failed to detonate so it did not cause any damage or injuries. It is suspected the attack was a case of extortion.
