[Dominica] Strategic developments: Arrests

On 9 April 2025, in Roseau, Saint George, the police arrested the Vice President of the United Workers Party (UWP), in connection with the recent electoral reform protests which the Government considered as unlawful. The Vice-President appeared before a Roseau Magistrate and was granted bail, upon payment of a fee. The arrest came as part of a wave of arrests of individuals involved with a demonstration against the Government's electoral reforms held on 19 March 2025. In total, twenty-five people were arrested.
