On 9 April 2025, in Santiago - Estacion Central (Metropolitana), one of three Venezuelan nationals suspected of belonging to El Tren de Aragua Gang shot and killed a man outside a cafe (Gala II) on the Alameda. The perpetrators arrived at the cafe after fight between a costumer and the owner of the establishment. According to a witness, the perpetrator claimed that he belonged to the gang and fired against the victim after being confronted by his girlfriend. Before firing the perpetrator said that we despised Chileans. 1 fatality.
