Around 10 April 2025 (between 2 April - 20 April), an armed group (likely M23 as the period coincides with the M23 occupation of the rural commune of Walikale) abducted a woman and her child in Ngora, Utunda groupement (Walikale, Nord-Kivu). They were seen going to the hospital. Their whereabouts remain unknown.
