[Belgium] Protests: Peaceful protest

On 3 April 2025, in the evening, at the call of Gent university students, about 500 people, including students, gathered on the Kouter in Gent (Vlaanderen) to protest what they called impunity for perpetrators of sexual misconduct, following the Leuven court ruling that granted a suspended sentence to a gynaecology student convicted of rape. The protesters demanded stricter sanctions and better protection for victims.
